Hand-painted Pan Con Podcast cafetera
Sure, it’s purely decorative. But what kind of weirdo really uses a coffeemaker this small, anyway? This one-of-a-kind cafetera is a showpiece.
Hand-painted by the most talented artisan of producer Nick’s sisters who do not live in Kansas, this cafetera is loaded with symbology related to your favorite mostly-weekly podcast hosted by a Miami-based chef and his producer’s dog. There’s Mike’s signature flying pig. The pig is landing in a field of sunflowers, the Kansas state flower, as a shout-out to our fans in Salina. Peaty the dog is smoking a cigar and has clearly stolen Mike’s negroni, which he’s drinking while playing a game of dominoes. Add ‘em up; that’s an homage to our 22 loyal listeners. Finally, the whole thing is topped with a no-sugar warning, a reference to Mike’s “SIN AZUCAR” cafetera tattoo.
It’s a conversation piece that also lets everyone know you’re the sort of artsy person who enjoys hidden messages and only listens to the train-wreckiest podcasts on the Internet.
